Tom Selleck, known for his outstanding morality, compassion, and good values, participated in the “Tip Challenge” initiative to support restaurant employees during the pandemic.
In late 2020, he left a generous $2,020 tip for a server at a New York restaurant, following in the footsteps of his Blue Bloods co-star Donnie Wahlberg, who had left the same amount for a server earlier that year.
Donnie revealed Tom’s charitable act on Twitter, and Tom’s note to the lucky server read, “For Elios, I am honoring my friend Donnie Wahlberg’s ‘tip challenge’ with my sincere hope for a better 2020. Thank you all.”
