Potted plants can add beauty to any home, and creating unique pots for them can make them even more enjoyable. There are many DIY pots you can make at home, and one of our favorites is this stone pot by AIRINS CRAFT.
To make this project, you’ll need a balloon, stones, and an adhesive. Using a glue gun, carefully glue the stones together around the balloon, making sure not to get glue on the balloon. Alternatively, you can use epoxy, which dries clear and smooth and is cool to the touch.

To begin, blow up a medium-sized balloon and place it on a roll of masking tape with the knotted part facing up. Draw a circle around the balloon to determine the height of the flower pot walls. Then, take a stone and glue it to another stone, making sure they fit together nicely. Place the stones on top of the balloon and continue gluing stones to each other around the balloon until it is covered and you’ve reached your Sharpie line.

Pop the balloon and insert a potted plant into your new stone pot. You can use tumbled stones like rose quartz for a gorgeous look, but keep in mind that this may be more expensive, as you’ll need about 50 to 100 stones for this project.
While there are different tutorials for making this pot using bamboo sticks or sand and seashells, we’ve explained how to make it using stones. Follow these steps carefully and you’ll soon have a beautiful pot for your favorite plant.
