The Dolenc family, comprising Brett and Kristy and their three children, built their dream home 19 years ago on a small farm they call the “Kicsi Casa.”

Located in an impressive area, their farm-ette houses goats, chickens, and rabbits, as well as a pond and a pleasant garden for bonding. However, realizing their home was no longer spacious enough, they opted to buy a tiny house instead of moving out or expanding their home.
Working with Simblissity Tiny Homes, their new extension was customized by their daughters, Lucie and Marin, according to their personalities. Completed in six months, the tiny house was connected to the main house, providing easy access. Lucie’s loft bed, complete with a desk, felt cozy, while Marin’s ground-level room provided a view of the farm.

The hangout loft above Marin’s bedroom offered a relaxing space to read books, and friends could sleep over as the sofa cushions could turn into beds. The Dolencs share responsibilities, helping each other out and doing things together, and during the pandemic, they opened up their farm to neighbors for “Covid relief goat therapy.”
